Our Criteria Alignes With The Planet

When looking to incorporate new brands, we search for those that share our values and priorities.

We established 5 criteria based on our core values: Sustainability, Empathy, Transparency and Justice.

To be part of El Green Mall, each brand must meet at least 3 of the following criteria.

Fair Trade

Our fundamental commitment is that everyone is treated with dignity.

We ensure that all brands protect the rights of their workers and manufacturers, guarantee safe working conditions and provide fair remuneration.

Planet Friendly Materials

We source brands that use responsible produced materials.

Depending on the industry, this can be: Palm oil free, Free of parabens and other chemicals of concern, GOT Certified, OEKO TEX 100 and others.

Recycled and recyclable is the goal, saving resources and not wasting.

Vegan & Cruelty Free

No animal should suffer for us to consume. That's why we partner with brands that are Vegan & Cruelty-Free.

Cruelty-free means that the product was developed without any tests on animals, while vegan means that the product does not include any animal-derived ingredients.

We seek to protect all species.

Slow Living

Producing in small batches save resources, lower the CO2 emissions and therefore make a smaller impact on the environment and climate change.
Who wants to have the exact same thing as a million other people anyway?

Supporting Marginalized Communities

We understand the advantages of local consumption but also the importance of empowering marginalized communities. That is why, with our brands, we seek a balance between made-in Europe and made-in developing countries.

In addition, we work with brands collaborating with organizations that protect vulnerable communities.

How do we ensure that our conditions are met?

To be part of El Green Mall each brand or manufacturer must go through a rigorous process.

The process consists of 3 fundamental pillars that guarantee the honest operation of El Green Mall.

  • Investigation

    When we discover a brand, we carry out extensive research to find out about its history, its founders and its raison d'être.

    We also investigate what products they offer, what values they have and whether they have any certification to demonstrate the sustainability of the project.

  • Sustainability Verification Form

    Once we are in contact with the brand, we exchange what we call a "Sustainability Verification Form".

    Through this form, the brand provides us with the necessary information to verify the mission, vision and values.

    In this step, we both commit to work towards the three fundamental pillars of sustainability.

  • Community

    We want our community to be the final auditor.

    Despite the commitment we have with our research, we are human beings far from perfection and with a limited team. That's why we count on you to enforce these values.
